If you review the tape, you will see that the judge approached her hand out
first to sniff, then waited for Kent to grab her head. He did that with no
other breed. His mind was made up to how he felt about the breed when he
singled her out and approached her like he did, he was biased from the get go.
So, in light of this, no matter how good she looked, or how close to the
standard she was, it was not going to make a difference. Many of those breeds
that were in that final ring had also been under a lot of the AKC judges, as
did the other favorite, Skye. Just listening to the accolades on the other
dogs, they were "Rumors" in their own breeds.
I just wish they would have put up an American judge. Just my opinion.
