[ SHOWGSD-L ] Futurity Trophy donations - SP & MP

A number of people have asked "Why trophy donations? Isn't the PC paying for
the plaques?" Yes, the PC agreed to use some of the Purina money for trophies
but the regions still need help covering other expenses.
Futurity profit is split 60% to the club and 40% to the PC. Here are just a
couple of the reasons the clubs need additional income:
With the FREE litter nominations, the only LITTER income the futurity gets are
from late nominations. That's a BIG cut in income over past years. Did you
nominate one (or more) FREE litters this year?
Clubs are reimbursed $2 per entry for judges travel. Example: MP has 73
regular entries so they will get $146 towards the judges travel. What does it
cost to fly from the Midwest to the west coast? $400 or more? The club has to
pay the difference from their portion of the profit.
The Mid-Pacific a couple of years ago had the PC pay for their trophies, had a
reasonable entry, expenses, etc. and made a whopping $236... Sure could have
used the extra donations that year. :)
Please, step up and make a donation, in ANY AMOUNT to help out.
