I can speak for myself as a GSDCA and a WDA member and owning some imports, I 
personally sent a check to the shelter to help with the care and expenses for 
these dogs.  Regardless of whether they are imports or American bred, they are 
German Shepherds and everyone that can afford a few dollars should help.  This 
situation is a horrible one for those poor dogs.  I am wondering if any 
co-owners of these dogs are even aware of what has occurred.  I've already sent 
the e-mail with the link to friends in Europe so that they can share with 
others.
