"Hi - I am so sorry to bother the list with my trivial nonsense I am trying to
enter my two pups in the Saturday show in Maryland. I did not know about close
dates, etc. Long story short, does anyone have the contact information (ie.,
phone number, email )for the show secretary for the Saturday, German Shepherd
Dog Club of Greater Washington. Or if anyone can direct me where to find this
information as I can only seem to locate a mailing address.
These are the first shows we are entering and obviously, I have a lot to learn.

If this is an AKC sanctioned show you cannot enter after the closing date for
entries. There are quite a few reasons for having a closing date for entries,
one of which is the show secretaries have to put together a catalog of the
entries and have a judges book put together with assigned numbers. You can
withdraw if there is a judges change before the show starts, move a dog up
before the show, but you cannot enter the show after the close of entries.
Sorry, but you'll have to just go and watch this time. We all have stories of
how we didn't get entered, entries lost in the mail and such, but we didn't get
to show our dogs. It certainly "happens".
