Does anyone know how the English lines are faring today? Does anyone have
friends in England that they keep in touch with?

If you were a member of Tari Kridler's list (CHGermanShepherddogshow list)
you would have seen several pictures from a current English show kennel. This
man has beautiful dogs, deep bodied, masculine and appearing to have
excellent angulation. Not the extreme toplines that we see in American
photographs
but then I don [t think they favor setting up the dog that way. It this is a
sample of what you can find in England today - I'd say they are faring
pretty well.
