OK, the energy cell technology does use water, but then that is a
whole different technology.

The technology to run an internal combustion engine on water already exists.
Water is H2O (two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen). Hydrogen is more
efficient (burns hotter) than gasoline. As I understand it, making the process
of
separating the hydrogen from the oxygen efficient enough to be useful for
everyday use is the puzzle yet to be fully solved. What's more interesting is
that
the combustion process recombines the hydrogen and oxygen atoms, so the
exhaust is pure water vapor which can be run through the system again and
again. I
watched a news report the other night that showed a guy actually welding,
using water as his fuel supply.
I know that the oil companies are already working on the production and
supply of hydrogen for automobile fuel. It is likely that you'll be driving a
hydrogen powered car within the next fifteen to twenty years. I'm less
convinced
that any of us will be pumping water into our fuel tanks when we leave for the
dog shows, but you never know. As I said, that technology already exists.
If you think about it, just fifteen years ago or so, who would have guessed
that we'd all be sitting in front of computers, talking dogs each day?
