I went to see the movie last night and have mixed feelings about it. This was based on a true story. What dog person worth their salt would chain down their dogs and leave them? I realize that the pilot was supposed to return immediately to rescue the dogs, but she didn't and it took months for the guide to return to search for his team. What about the poor dog that couldn't get off the chain and died? The scientist that would risk the lives of the dogs, the guide, and his own for a piece of rock. He would have died if it wasn't for those dogs pulling him out, and he waits months to find the excess funds in his budget to go back and help find them. Where is the devotion? The dogs that gave all they had to obey "their" human or the human who left them (chained) to survive on their own? It was a great movie and proved that your faith and devotion should be put in your dogs, not in other human beings.
