Flying 18 BOD members all over the country and paying for hotel rooms three
times a year for meetings is too expensive, when meetings are being held all
over the country everyday by corporations and other groups via the
internet!...I have judged puppy matches in Los Angeles, Utah, Florida, and
Texas...I paid all of my own expenses ( one or two clubs paid for my dinner)
air-fare, hotel, rental car etc every single time!...and when I ran for the
BOARD a few years ago I would NOT have asked for money to re-imburse my flights
and hotel bills ( thank God I lost)...Board Directors need to pay their own
expenses to attend meetings!...in good times and bad times...this is a
volunteer job for a non-profit club!...I'd love to be at the CA meeting in
JAN....however I may not be a member of the club next year, but I have too much
class than to threaten to quit and get my friends to follow if I don't get
my way...I just don't like all the Drama, BS and potential candidates on this
year's ballot...as for the member who acted out at the last meeting and will
be running for BOD...well as my mother used to say...looks like he showed his
ASS at the last meeting...be very careful who you vote for!...Edwin Bernard
