Are there any dog love'n folks in the Vacaville, CA area? Jeff and I are out
here on a little vacation...but he's working....and I'm alone with not much to
do. :) Anybody out here to visit?

Cancer can strike even a hero dog
The White Pine County Sheriff's Office along with the community
suffered a great loss on May 10, 2010.
Deputy K-9 Sara died due to complications of cancer. Sara came to work
for the Sheriff's Office in April 2007. John Moriarty of Florida
graciously donated her. Quadra Mining, Ray Hansen of V&S Variety and
Bryson and Christina Pickens also contributed funding and supplies for
transportation of Sara and equipment needed for her training. Sara was
a multi-purpose dog.
She received her first training in bomb detection and completed a one-
year tour of duty in Baghdad. Sara provided services for the Nevada
Supreme Court when they held a meeting in Elko searching the building
they were to meet in. Sara was then cross-trained for drug detection
and certified by Vonliche Kennels.
