I agree with Kathy as a long time member of the Delaware Valley gsdc for almost
35years feel that no one is harder working without Dean we would not be the
club we are..It has been his almost whole life.I remember Dean and his daughter
encouraging me to finish my Maxima I had gotten depressed with things???They
literally dragged me and Max to the large shows.The JUDGES RITA SANDELL AND
FRAN FORD needless to say mAX WON BOTH DAYS WITH 2- 4pt, majors..Became
CHAMPION Ambers Maxima ROM the sweetest soundest dog ever ..Thank you Trish and
Dean..What an asset to the Board he has done it all//BARBARA Amidon

I've served on DV's board either 3 or 4 times now and have had the
experience of watching Dean in action. (Board meetings are no-nonsense and
EFFICIENT,
lol!)
It's no accident that we are a vibrant, successful club that attracts GSD
folks from ALL venues, and others have spoken to that. It's no accident that
we have an abundance of well trained officers, directors and teams of helpers
and that no task falls through the cracks; Dean painstakingly trained us all.
What hasn't been mentioned is the effort he's put into neighboring regional
clubs (I can think of at least three), that aren't as vibrant, attending
meetings several counties away, giving generously of his time and knowledge,
(even giving away his newsletter editor and board member in one case and in
another, recruiting help from out of state to "do" the premiums, judges
programs
and catalogs, and trust me they did it because it was Dean who asked!),
quietly working behind the scenes to shore up failing clubs and help put on
THEIR
shows.
As president of Hatboro Dog Club, he's been instrumental in working with
other AB clubs to get GSD judges in and wherever possible arrange for favorable
AB rings.
This is a very easy vote for me:)
