The Anaheim show was right at Disneyland. And Charo was GVx. Watson was GV, I
believe.
I remember all the topiary in front of one of the hotels with all of the "No
Dogs" signs everywhere. And lots of dogs lifting their legs on that topiary.
Made me wonder why people would be so disrespectful.

Stu Owens, a new member of the club was in charge of keeping people off the
floor. That was when the Board roped off an area for themselves and didn't
allow us little people to be there. Stu threw Ralph Roberts out, and it
was a great brewha.
Then there was a rumor that Numeral Uno was drugged and everyone milled
around trying to figure out what to do about it. They finally figured that
there was nothing they could do, so on went the show. He was a Hale son I
believe and a great mover, as was Hale.
The bitch who was winner's bitch went on to Grand Victrix. She was owned
by the McPherens and was finished at that show. A fantastic sable that
seemed to me to be an easy winner.
I had spent the entire day before the National on my hands and knees,
pulling rocks out of the sod. By the show I was so tired, I didn't enjoy it as
much as I could have.
I picked up Ed at the airport, since he had missed his flight and came in
at midnight. No one wanted to go to LAX at midnight, so after picking out
the rocks, I went to the airport.
I can't believe I remember that stuff, and I don't promise I am right. It
does tend to blend together after a while and while I do remember events, I
often can't remember when it was. But, I sure remember Charo from that
show, and the excitement of the crowd.
