Great News! We just received results back from our first DM test. Our newest
young champion, TRJâs Jaeger v Whitside, is now DM normal which means he has
two normal copies of the gene and it is unlikely he or any of his offspring
will have DM. Jaeger is out of Eko-Lanâs Italia V King Haven and TRJâs
just one drop and was bred by Janet Tyler. The test is a simple cheek swab and
can be ordered from OFA https://secure.offa.org/Cart.html for only $65.00.
Results only take a couple weeks. Anyone who has had a dog with DM knows how
heartbreaking this disease is and we now have a valuable tool to help fight
this terrible disease. I encourage everyone to start testing their breeding
stock. Itâs simple and inexpensive and can save so much heartache.
