Ok, but isn't that the key? If a dog is a bit longer, but the back is solid,
no bounce, is that still incorrect?

Not if it doesn't destroy proper transmission or interrupt the dog moving in
balance. If the dog is indeed..."Too long"...it most certainly will disrupt
that balance I speak of. Too is the appropriate word here. When the back gets
"too long" it WILL affect balance and motion.
