I am doing Barn Hunt with my Strider daughter Jezra' s Zarina of Showboat aka
Stella. Hope to enter her soon for her novice trials. She has no interest in
the instinct test. She looks at the three tubes lined up in full sight and
just goes to the hay stacks and searches through the hay! She is not a Champion
only because at her time I had other priorities.....She has 14 pts, a 5 pt.
major and a few major reserves!
I have tried her in obedience which she hated. Like sheep herding but only if I
did it and with a bad knee I wasn't going to herd any more but she does like
looking for rats. At first she wasn't thrilled about climbing to the top of the
hay bales but now,she feels quite proud of herself when she does it.
After years of doing competitive with multiple dogs, I really love Barn Hunt
and Nose Work. I really wish the GSDCA would recognize NW for a dual
championship.
