Dogs can get Salmonella, not as easily as a human.

Salmonella poisoning is a very serious condition that can make a dog not only
miserable, but has
the potential to be deadly.

Dogs and especially cats can shed Salmonella organisms in both their feces and
saliva, meaning
that transmission can occur via licking.

Dogs can get salmonella, just as people can. More than 2,500 types of
salmonella bacteria exist
in the world. Often dogs get salmonella from eating dry dog food
