Raw bones are OK. We use only Beef &/or Chicken. Pork usually upsets the tummy. Turkey neck bones do not digests well in all dogs. Also saw a Kong removed from a police K-9. My point, the few don't make up the whole. I'm sure some dogs have problems, but shouldn't we just be smart about what we give our dogs to chew? While I don't feed bones small enough to consume, I do allow my dogs to gnaw on big cow hip bones or leg bones. Large enough the dog can't swallow, or even get chucks off. One dog never had to have a dental cleaning because her teeth were always beautiful. This was before I knew about diets causing teeth problems and she was on a cheap pet food. Lived to be 13 (husky mix). Let's see, greenies are bad, raw hide is bad, bones are bad, what's left to give them to chew on? Again, just be as knowledgeable as possible on what your dog gets.
