I can't speak for the other participants but I didn't "hire" an amateur t=

handle my dog. In fact, Rickey White is a very good family friend and=0D
enjoys handling his own and his friends dogs. He ASKED if he could show =

dogs in a new event he had heard about from Nancy Harper. He has NEVER=0D
taken a dime or any other compensation for handling, even when he finishe=

Orion's uncle Ch. Melana's Murphy's Law for us last year. I researched t=

rules and confirmed there were no conflicts with competing in both regula=

and amateur events so was more than happy to support both Rickey's reques=

At any rate despite freezing our patooties off this weekend, in addition =

Orion's BIAF win we were very pleased that on Friday in the GL Futurity=0D
Orion showed like a dream, seemed to be a crowd favorite, and won a deep=0D
quality Senior Futurity Dog class under Gail Hardcastle, handled by Micha=
el=0D
Sherman. In the 5 point specialty under Lynn Klingel he won the 12-18 cl=
ass=0D
and was pulled out for consideration in winners with 2 mature adults who =
I=0D
understand both finished this weekend (congrats to their owners!).=0D

Orion's sister, Melana's Shakira, only put 4 feet on the ground long enou=
gh=0D
to win 1st Amateur Jr Bitch also handled by Rickey White. Learning from=
=0D
this that mom better HIDE and STAY HIDDEN, Saturday afternoon Shakira=0D
correctly gaited her to winning a quality 1st 6-9 bitch class and then BE=
ST=0D
PUPPY in the specialty, handled by Michael Sherman.=0D

We Georgia folks couldn't handled one more day of those frigid temperatur=

we skipped Sunday's shows to head home to warmer temperatures.=0D
