You know, I have NEVER understood that and have proven that theory wrong a
bunch of times. I have dogs who will lay quietly by my side ring-side and
then break leashes to get to me when it's their "turn". They're all house
dogs;
sleep on the bed, lay on the couch, congregate in the kitchen house dogs and
when it's show time and they're all show dogs with "attitude" to spare. In
fact, one of our biggest tasks has always been slowing them down:)
