According to information on many sites Baytril given to dogs under
one year caused crippling joint disease and blindness, so imagine
what it does to a developing fetus
Baytril is not recommended for use in dogs during the rapid growth
phase (between the ages of 2 and 8 months). High, prolonged
dosages of Baytril in these young dogs has induced abnormal
carriage of the carpal joint (wrist) and weakness in the
hindquarters.

Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of the quinolone/fluoroquinolo=
ne class. It is
used to treat many types of bacterial infections. Do NOT use in growing do=
gs,
pregnant, or nursing animals, since it has an adverse effect on developing=
bones and
joints. Use with caution in cats; higher doses can result in altered visio=
n or blindness.
Use all of the medication prescribed, or the infection is likely to recur =
or become worse.
Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences lack of appetite, vomiti=
ng, diarrhea,
dizziness, dilated pupils or blindness (in cats), or seizures while being =
treated with
enrofloxacin.
