I may be crazy, (shut up Paul) but it seems to me that the  more ideas and 
people we have to address our board, the better off we are. If  there is an 
idea 
that will help the breed, just because the idea might be from a  non-parent 
club member, does not make it a bad idea.
 
I never did like the way they used to isolate the board  members at the 
national in a chained off area, off limits to the members. I feel  the same 
about 
making a parent club list, for members only. The place to discuss  club 
business is at the meetings, and between meetings I would want the board  
members to 
listen to everyone.
 
Some may remember how the board was given a select area at the  national and 
told that they would be safe from being bothered by people who were  not on 
the board, or friends of the board.  That was my first motion when I  was on 
the 
board, to do away with it.  It passed, and I took some heat for  it. 
 
Ken Downing started a program of inclusion, and while the club  never got to 
the ultimate end, it is headed that way. Continue to offer your  involvement, 
it will be accepted.  And, let's avoid any isolation of the  board or the 
members.
