I learned long ago that you have to carefully read the labels. You don't
buy anything that says "animal" fat, "animal" meal, "animal" digest. It
must state the specific source, such as, lamb, chicken, beef etc.

Thanks for the heads up about animal digest..I had no idea it meant using
pet animals - disgusting. In the Merck Manual there is a section for
proper
disposal of the " 4 D's" - dead , dying, diseased animal and it was pretty
