I think that the change that is being made is a good one, although, at first, I was not for it. Chris explained it beautifully, and the fact that it will also save the clubs the extra expense of another judge, is a welcome one. Our club had already advertised that it would go with the "old" amateur classes, so we did not want to change that. I think it will be a good change though, still giving the amateur handlers/owners a chance to show their own dogs, if they feel so inclined. If my knees would let me, I would show my own dog.
