Well written Barbara and unfortunately we live in a very SORRY WORLD. No
one takes responsiblity for their actions. I just lost my last GSD to cancer
Wednesday, she was 11, and the world is very loney right now. These "little
monsters" that we are creating that do not respect life, will be our next
generation of Jeffry Dahmers.
Some people will never understand the relationship we have with our dogs, and
for that I feel sorry for them. The love and affection between us and them is
truly one of life's greatest joys. Our dogs ask for nothing except for our love
and tenderness; but in return mankind treats them like a piece of unwanted
garbage. If the dog gets old or sick, drop them off in the country somewhere
or drop off at a shelter or puppies at PetCo. I certainly hope there is a
HEAVEN and HELL; because these people deserve the worse.
As for the pictures, I'm sure they are well intended. To shock some into
action; to raise funds (although I often want to know if the funding is
actually doing any good).
My goal this year is to raise $10,000 from my POKER Friends. half for gsd
Rescues and 1/2 for Cancer Research. The 1/2 for research will be matched by
the WHITE GSD GENETICS GROUP (never owned a WHITE, but they are good people)
who in turn will get matching funds from the AKC Foundation (so my $5,000 is
now $20,000)and Clemson University will have a little more for genetic research.
We only see the bad in the world, but there are many trying to do good, but
unfortunately that isn't NEWS WORTHY.
