So long ago my GSD received the CGCA title & months went by & this was never
posted in the Review. I asked Casey about it & she said, "I never received
that information from AKC!" Now, I have my shepherds CGCA certificate, I
scan it, I send it to Casey & still for months more it's never posted???? So
I write Allyson Fine/ CGC/STAR & look what she wrote back below here.

Hello
At the time you requested the information regarding the CGCA, I was not
given enough information and requested more so I could look up your dog. I
found the CGCA on file for this dog and you also have the CGCA certificate.
We do not send the parent clubs or any club statistics regarding what dogs
earned a CGC/CGCA/CGCU. I am not sure where they get their information, but
the dog obviously has a CGCA as you have the certificate. You would not
have received the certificate if there wasn't one on file. Unfortunately, we
have nothing to do with your dog being posted in the GSDCA review magazine.
You may want to contact the editor with a copy of your CGCA as that should
be proof enough that your dog has earned the title.
You can also see the title on your dog if you go to your AKC account then go
to "manage dogs". Click on the dog name and at the bottom of the page it
shows all the dogs titles.

In order to have your Barn Hunt title recognized by the GSDCA to receive a
title certificate and have it listed in The Review, you have to send the
title certificate you receive from the Barn Hunt Asso. to AKC, fill out AKC
paperwork, pay $30 per title and then AKC will record the title on the dog's
pedigree and send that info to the GSDCA and The Review and then it will be
recognized by the PC who then send you a certificate and publish the title
in The Review.
I know this as I just tried to send the certificates I have for Stella's
RATN and RATO to the PC and this is what I was told. And the PC/AKC will not
even do this for NW. Both BH and NW relay on the dog's ability to recognize
scent & location which is basic to police, search and rescue and war dogs
so one would think that this ability of a dog would be encouraged by the
PC!!
Isn't it nice that our PC is helping make money for AKC! Kay
