The Delegates may not have a say in this decision but DO have a say in who
actually serves on the Board and CAN recall Board members who do not act in the
best interest of the AKC, the Sport, and who spit on the premise of the
organization - to promote purebred dogs. Its high time the fancy ran the AKC
instead of the other way around. We need business people who actually compete
in dog events running the sport.   Not people who vote themselves pay
raises and spend over 2 MILLION dollars in travel expenses in a year in the
current economy.

Hi All;
There is so much on the net with the Judges fees, I have joined the FB Group to
oppose this and I wish I could go to the June Delegates meeting, because this
is defiantly going to be brought to the floor.
The amount of money that is purposed is ridicules and also why only
confirmation Judges and not Performance, seems discriminatory to me. Also a
point was made that AKC does not license Judges, but only approves them and
they are not a contractual employee
to the AKC, which is an excellent point. As a Show Coordinator, I know the
costs would be passed on to the Clubs and all Clubs are
trying to contain costs to survive.
As I said in an early post this was not a Delegate decision, but the Board, as
this is an operation business decision and the Delegates
have no vote on that, but they can show there dissatisfaction and I believe
they will in June.
