Well now we can sleep in again! The last 3 days have been up at 5:30 am to
get our doggies out, fed and watered and off to the Rockland County KC
shows in New York to arrive by 8am. That's way too early to this "middle
aged" man! But I guess it was worth it. Our hard luck bitch, Masstana's
Next In Line, went 3rd Open Bitch out of 4 on Friday, 1st out of 7 Open
bitches and WB under respected judge Carol White Moser, for 3 points on
Saturday and 1st Open Bitch out of 7 Open bitches and Reserve on Sunday.
Nexi now has 9 points and hopefully she will be finished this spring. Nexi
has been shown sparingly but has had more than her share of reserves for
the number of times shown! It seems that she has gone reserve way too many
times to young puppies! I guess that is the thing to do these days. Put a
nice puppy together with a junior handler and it's really a hard act to
follow for sure! But every now and then she wins and it really does feel
good.
By the way, today (Sunday) the GSDs were judged by an all breed judge who,
everybody at ringside were in total agreement, really did a great job! Her
name is Danelle Brown from Georgetown Texas. She is good for sure even
though we didn't win. Definitely knows the GSD Standard and judged
accordingly.
Congratulations to the winners all three days and particularly fellow New
Haven GSDC club members, Doris and Chuck Farrell for their WD Saturday,
Linda and Ralph Ciocci for their Select award for their Champion Rallyn's
Nelson who beat 3 other champion males on Saturday to get his GCH (we
think). Also big congratulations to GCH Patrick who won the Breed Saturday
and Sunday, going Group 1 on Saturday and finally to Cindy Miller with her
young CH Morocco son who is a super star at 14 months!
Finally, we wish to thank Leslie Dancosse for stepping in for "recuperating
George" and handling our Nexi on Saturday and Sunday. She did an
outstanding job and made our Nexi look like a star. Great Job!
