Thank you Stormy. Very appropriate.
May we ever be aware, not just on one day, of the sacrifice made by so many to
protect for us, the freedom that we enjoy.
Freedom! The very word, sometimes misplaced and distorted, was applied to our
founding, as a nation, as we emerged from the tyranny of a government that held
all power, to become the noble experiment where the people held the power. It
is for this - freedom from the control of the king, the tyrant, the dictator or
any form of government that removes from the people the freedoms that we are
given by our creator.
What a tremendous concept. What a wonderful experiment in self determination,
self actualization and the power of the people to negotiate their lives without
central dictatorial control. It has worked so well for so long. We owe a great
debt of gratitude to those who have died to see it carried forward - for us!
Let us join them in their commitment to keep our freedom. Freedom is not free,
and he who does not use his freedom to protect his freedom will not keep his
freedom.
