SEYSA Study Tour to Pearl River Delta in June, 2011
**Unique opportunity to witness significant socioeconomic changes in
the Pearl River Delta and to have dialogue with top university
students and prominent leaders of today**
As a supporting organisation of this Pearl River Delta exchange trip
organised by The Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre, Sir Edward Youde
Scholars Association cordially invites you to an exchange trip to the
Delta in late June.
Once considered as the world's sweatshop dependant on low-wage and
low-margin, the Delta has indeed undergone fundamental economic
re-structuring and now becomes the most economically dynamic region of
Southern China. It is even estimated that the Delta's GDP will exceed
New York and London in the next few decades. This trip is an
exceptional opportunity for you to gain an insider perspective into
these drastic structural changes in the Delta.
You will also see the cultural faces of Guangzhou and gain an insight
into how they preserve their historical heritages while developing
their economies. This trip also includes many opportunities for you to
exchange your view with leading academics, businessmen and government
officials. Last but not least, we will examine the role and
opportunities for Hong Kong people in the Delta, especially for the
youth, in this exciting era.

Kong Chamber of Commerce, and former Far East and China Chairman of
Ernst & Young
- Meetings involving students from one of the top ten universities in
the Mainland, Sun Yat-sen University (????), and see how they view
issues varying from personal goals, career aspiration to China's future
Eligibility criteria

Aged 18-25
Attending undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in any University
Senior secondary school students who are admitted to University
programmes in 2011-12 school year are also eligible
