The signing will take place in the lobby of the Reynolds Family Scout Office, 1405 Westover Terrace in Greensboro. The books will be on sell at the Old North State Scout Shop at the same location. Townley will be the guest speaker at a special breakfast for Eagle Scouts on Tuesday, December 1, 7:30 a.m. at the Scout Office. In a true adventure spanning thousands of miles, he has met with Eagle Scouts from all walks of life. In 2007, St. Martin's Press released his acclaimed first book, Legacy of Honor. Spirit of Adventure was released on May 12, 2009. An Eagle Scout and brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Alvin completed high adventure treks at Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier Canoe Base, and the Florida Sea Base. He graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and has worked in the U.S. House of Representatives, helped manage global strategy for a $9B international consulting firm, served his alma mater during a $240M campaign, and coached track at Atlanta's Marist School.
