Sir,
Re-installing GNU/Linux will not solve the problem.
You please edit the second line of Grub (recovery mode) by entering 'E' and
pass the following parameters to the Kernel (as in the case of
re-installation of Grub)
So pass

vga=normal nofb

to the kernel. hope it will solve the problem
