Paul,
Hope and I have gotten the hardware to install the 10’ projector screen that we
borrowed from an friend. If you have a larger one and want it installed instead
of the 10’ one let me know, so I can pick it up or they can drop it off. There
is no need to install the 10’ one if you’re only going to use it once.
Let us know. Best Regards,
Greg and Hope

Subject: [SAS] SAS General Meeting Schedule
The August meeting went pretty well, despite the technical glitches from the
clown who brought the AV equipment. Thanks very much to everyone who helped
get that run. The official meeting time has always been 7:30--I had proposed
7:00 so that we could have kids look at the first quarter moon before the
meeting started. No children were in attendance at this first meeting, but
many people stayed late to enjoy M13, Saturn, and other night sky objects. I'm
told to expect youngsters at the next meeting, so I propose we do the same
again, especially as that meeting again coincides with the first quarter moon.
Greg says he will put up a 10 foot screen for the September meeting, though we
may have access to an even larger screen courtesy of a nearby school district.
We'll consider the larger screen for the October Sky presentation by our own
NASA girl Kayla LaFrance.

Given the September meeting is so close to Labor Day the topic will be a
"newbie" oriented conversation on telescopes in general. We'll also determine
who is responsible for refreshments regretfully lacking at the previous meeting.
As a gentle reminder, when entering or departing the meeting place, please keep
to the south side of the loop driveway to preserve the peace, harmony, and
tranquility of the property owner.
