That may be part of the problem. I plan to pull the mirror out tonight and
check. I don't think I have an incheck to play with but I may be wrong.
Thanks
Mike

Michael, perhaps your Orion 16" Dobsonian's mirror is too far forward. Is
there a way of adjusting your primary mirror so that it is closer to the
ground, away from the secondary mirror? I recently had a similar problem
with my classic Edmund 4-1/4" Reflector, but in that case the mirror was
too far away from the focuser: https://www.cloudynights.com/

actually be f/4.4 (per http://www.telescope.com/Telescopes/Dobsonian-

*Subject:* [SAS] Foucault Tester
Does anyone in the club have a foucault tester? I have a new 16" f4.5 and
I believe it may actually be f4.7(ish) based on having to rack the focuser
out all the way and insert the eyepiece only about 1/2 way into the
focuser. If if is infact greater than f4.5, I need to send it back but
want to be sure.
Thanks
Mike
