Nothing to do with the generally supplied scripts as I use my own. Removing the DB file and clamav starts up fine. Line 102027 in the above file shows: INetMsg.SpamDomain-2m.xozuhel_cn:4:*:(2e|2f|40|20|3c| 5f)786f7a7568656c2e636e(27|22|20|2f|3d|5f|3e|0a|0d) (line wrapped by me) If I delete the line then clamd still fails to start with the same error and same line number.
