Can you make it relative to the full pathname of the script? (I.E.
use dirname $0)?

Or put it in /usr/local/etc/${SCRIPT_NAME} ?

(I'm also on FreeBSD).

Hi Larry,

I can put it anywhere I want I suppose. the '/usr/local/etc/' directory
is fine for FreeBSD users; however, I am not sure if it works well on
other operating systems. That is what I am trying to determine.

BTW, please don't 'top post'. It makes following a tread a lot more
difficult than it need be.

Sorry for my earlier accidental empty post.

If we go the way of a separate CONFIG file please can you move these lines in to the CONFIG file:
# Unofficial signature database provider URLs
ss_url="rsync.sanesecurity.net"
msrbl_url="rsync.mirror.msrbl.com"
si_url="clamav.securiteinfo.com"
mbl_url="www.malware.com.br/cgi/submit?action=list_clamav"
This will help those of us who set up an internal mirror for our other servers.
Many thanks
Bill
