Subject: [SAN] Important Grant

Hello,

it is my great pleasure to announce that the Open-ViBE research
project presented at the SAN symposium I chaired in Turkey) has been
granted for three years by the French National Agency of Research.

  The partners are

- The National Institute of Research in Informatics
and Random Systems - RENNES (Dr. Lecuyer)

- The National Institufe of Health and Medical Research
  LYON (Dr. Bertrand)

- France Telecom - Grenoble (Myself)

After the COST B27 (Prof. Pop-Jordanov), this is the second big grant
given in Europe for research on neurofeedback and related methods.
In France this is a surprising first time.
Furthermore, the grants is for software development, hence the money can
be spend for doing both research and long term development.
We have great plans for the Open-ViBE project.
Our goal is to provide an very effective open source software platform
for real-time tomographical analysis of EEG/MEG/... and complex
video/audio/haptic feedback.
In my vision such a platform has the potential to give a strong impulse
to the field of Real-Time Neuroimaging.

 Yours Sincerely,

Marco Congedo
