MESSAGE FROM ST. ANDREWS MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Meteorologists are predicting that parts of the state may get freezing
precipitation sometime tomorrow morning. Right now, it is unclear as to
how the Midlands would be affected or the extent of the severe weather
we may experience and when.
District staff are in communication with local emergency preparedness
personnel and will be monitoring the forecasts and conditions throughout
the day. The Office of Communications already has received calls from
persons wanting to know if school will be held Thursday. At this time, a
decision has not been made about school tomorrow and whether normal
schedules will be followed or if there will be a delayed opening or
cancellation of school.
Please stay tuned to your local media for further information. If a
decision is not made tonight, then check your local TV stations in the
morning. You may also view the Richland One Channel 12 station.
