The February 2009 issue of SACnews is now available for download. 

 

In this issue:

 

1.      Treasurer Charlie Whiting presents this years budget & Financial
projection and offers some ideas to stem the negative cash flow.
2.      NASA's Space Place talks about then innovations from the New
Millennium Program.
3.      AJ Crayon presents the minutes of the January Board & General
meetings.
4.      In this month's Call for Observations, AJ chronicles Members
observations in Cassiopeia.
5.      President Dick Harshaw reminisces about his start in astronomy, and
your Editor puts out a call for members to follow suit.
6.      The monthly Trivia Question is on page 8.
7.      Also on page 8 is a rerun of an article from 9 years ago "Training
for the Other March Madness). Given the opportunity for 110 objects a this
years Messier Marathon, I thought it appropriate. 
8.      The Member Services pages have Direction to the Messier Marathon and
n case you have yet to renew, a membership form. Remember, you have one
issue of SACnews left if you don't renew your membership.
