Mr. Harshaw, You misread my last post. I am trying to say that SAC-Forum DOES allow you to attach files. My last post proved it. The attachment came through. Therefore, a SAC Yahoo list is not needed, in my opinion. Rick R. Just testing the waters first. Setup will be done next week if enough folks think it is worthwhile. Let's see if this test works. Rick R. I've been mulling over the idea of starting a Yahoo group for SAC. This would not replace our current e-lists, but would supplement them. There are a few advantages to a Yahoo group, to wit: (1) You can upload files to a "Files" library for all to look at. (2) You can upload images to a pictures library. (3) You can conduct surveys and polls very easily. My intent would be to set up a moderated group (which means membership to the group must be approved by the moderator, who would be me) and the moderator would have the ability to block abusive members. The Yahoo group format protects us from spammers if used properly. Members have the option of getting a daily digest of the emails with hyperlinks to the individual notes that look interesting, or can download a daily batch file of all daily emails, or download individual emails as they are posted. Is there any interest in such an idea? Richard Harshaw Cave Creek, Arizona Brilliant Sky Observatory
