Mission Complete! Bob Christ and I had students, moms, dads, grandparents, teachers and the PTA lined up to view the Moon, Venus, Mars and Saturn. While there were high clouds, both Bob and I are veterans of "sucker hole" challenge observing events so we made sure there was plenty of "wow" available at the eyepiece. We were also rewarded with very nice goodie bags full of candy bars and skittles (yum!). Hope to see more folks out there next year! The candy bags? And riding the Go-Karts? They are having another Science Fair this year. Come on out and bring your telescopes to Arrowhead Elementary from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, May 3, 2012. Help make their science fair a success and give some kids an interest in astronomy. There are plenty of students to go around! Address: 7490 W Union Hills Glendale AZ Sunset 7:13 pm Jack Jones SAC > Hello Mr. Jones > > I am a 6th grade science teacher at Arrowhead Elementary and also the Science Fair coordinator. Last year some of your club members came and facilitated a planet/star gazing exhibit during our science fair. The students and parents absolutely loved it, and I was really hoping your club would be willing to return again this year. Our Science Fair is being held on Thursday May 3rd and the times are from 6-8 PM. Our school is located on 75th Avenue and Union Hills. Please let me know at your earliest convenience if this date is open for any of you and if you would be interested in making a 2nd appearance at our science fair! The students would LOVE to have you back! > > Sincerely, > > > > Susan Peck > 6th Grade Science Teacher > Arrowhead Elementary
