Local astronomers can enjoy observing with serious aperture too. Looking for a
cool adventure? Have friends and family arriving here from out of state that
are looking for a new experience?
Here are some details for the Airbnb listings (there are two currently
available to accommodate a slightly larger group).

The listing price is really the sum of two costs, observing, and,
accommodations that make it an all-around totally awesome experience.
Observing costs; AS Research offers observing by itself for $300 for four hours
observing for two people and you make arrangements for your own accommodations.
Prices are $300 for four hours for two people, with $100 per person extra. Up
to six people maximum. Want more time observing? It is $100 per hour for the
group in two-hour increments. The 4-hour observing with your reservation begins
at sunset, or, when the weather clears enough to not be dangerous for the
telescope.
Accommodation costs; We offer the use of tents already set up, making your
limited time here more enjoyable, and below you will see further details. For
those not into camping, or possibly wanting to see the Winter Milky Way, there
is a Best Western nearby you can make reservations, but if the weather
prospects are enjoyable it really is nice to walk one hundred feet and find a
bed that is waiting and sleep as long as you like....
Details;
*We are at nearly 7000 feet elevation so having a warm coat is advisable as
night time temperatures can be considerable cooler than at lower elevations.
*AS Research has the largest public viewing telescope in Arizona with our costs
lower than them passed on to you. AS Research not only has extremely dark
skies, on par with Kitt Peak Observatory, we have aperture which dwarfs the
telescopes used for public observing at other observatories.
*Our costs are extremely competitive when compared to how much time you will be
looking into the eyepiece. That is why you would travel to use a telescope,
right? When you observe with us - you will not stand in long lines, waiting to
look into the eyepiece. No one wants to wait in long lines. Book our adventure
and spend time seeing what you came to see.
*We have interesting and useful amenities available to you to use during your
stay here, like a push-button night light for the nightstand, a pair of 10x50mm
binoculars to use day or night, a flashlight capable of white light to help you
get to the restroom and turn it to red lighting for around the observatory to
preserve your night vision (it also is a power station to recharge your smart
phone!). You can purchase new binoculars or flashlight if you found the ones
in the listing useful.
Pay less, see more.
If you need observing or digital accessories, we have that too.
