Hi SAC Members,
Many of you know me from the EVAC club as a former president for a number of
years and the push these last few years, described in a presentation at an EVAC
meeting detailing the remote-access and digital imaging using the 0.9-meter
computer-controlled scope in northern Arizona at ~7000' elevation, but now
there is something else newsworthy to pass along.
First, Apache-Sitgreaves Research Center is now incorporated.
Second, AS Research is now providing, in addition to the remote-access,
products which visual observers and digital astro-imagers need.
I have secured a manufacturer to make my spec nebular filters and then sell
them under the company name AS Research. To kick this off, I am offering an
intro sale. There have been quite a few take advantage and I hope you would
consider it.
Things are just getting underway but I hope you and the members of EVAC will
consider supporting a local business, fellow amateur astronomer, and, a good
cause that helps us all. Hopefully the attachment comes through but the
details are below.
Ultra High Contrast (UHC) filter

Oxygen-III (O-III) visual-use filter
O-III; FWHM: 25nm, Line Filter Visual
1.25" ($60) and 2" ($120).
CWL: 505±3nm
FWHM: 25±3nm
Tpeak: >90%@505nm
Blocking: OD3@400-700nm
H-beta (H-β) visual-use filter
H-beta; FWHM: 12nm, Line Filter Visual
2" ($140)
CWL: 486±2nm
FWHM: 12±2nm

These are good filters at a great price.
Other things in process right now, to offer soon, are; Bahtinov focusing
screens and Flat-Field illumination panels based on EL lamp technology which is
the preferred lamp. Both the screens and lamp panels are for astro-imagers and
will be for a variety of telescope sizes.
The website is not set up entirely which it will be soon and I'm not letting
that stop me, so any ordering is currently using my personal PP account, but
check it out at www.Apache-Sitgreaves.org.
The things people most need after the telescope and eyepiece, are the nebular
filters.
Thanks for considering a purchase.
Best regards,
Steven Aggas
