At the Board meeting last Friday, I brought up the idea of SAC copying EVAC's
excellent electronic membership form and PayPal payment of dues. I noted that
writing checks is pretty old-school these days. For those who are not
familiar, here's the link to their site.

Simply copying their format (and maybe modifying it somewhat) would make the
web-authoring part of this task easy. Note that PayPal does skim a 2.9% fee
from the seller, so the revenue from a $32 membership would become $31.
We have a potential new webmaster who is willing to relieve Peter of this task.
He said that he only needs some guidance, and could revamp our site. When the
time comes for him to do this, he can contact EVAC webmaster Marty Pieczonka,
whose message to me is forwarded below.
