Peter maintains a list of indexers, along with their contact details. There are
others that do not index but help by being lookup volunteers and collecting
information to index.
With indexers that are current, and others that have retired for one reason or
another it is in the vicinity of 300, but about 100 on the go at the moment in
some shape or form. Some daily, some weekly and others submit multiple days
occasionally. Some papers have lots of entries and other little papers often
have no entries, but the indexer still has to look for the information which
can be time consuming in some of the papers.
Increases in the number on the index are well in excess of 10,000 weekly and
that varies by up to a couple of thousand, but it has been a long time since
the number of submissions in one week was less than 10,000.
Thanks to the efforts of all indexers there are very few errors too which shows
how dedicated each and every indexer is.

Trust a man to be sensible. At last count, nobody seemed to know how many
indexers there were.
We probably don't even have a membership list.
