If you want to use the electronic communication function between camera
and flash, you require a Rollei SCA 356 adapter and any flashgun which
will take the SCA modules. See
http://www.metz.de/en/photo-electronics/sca-adapter.html then 'Archive
with further flash units'. This will tell you which Metz flash guns are
compatible.
Note: The handle mount Metz 45 guns are of two versions; the early ones
45CT* (*=1 to 5) which take a special Metz made C70 adapter although
some of the later ones did use the SCA adapter. You must check the
serial number of the flash. However, this is not always reliable either
because some of the earlier ones could be converted at a later date. The
later 45CL* (*=1 to 4) (current model) take the Rollei made SCA356
adapter. The '*' refers to the flash model number and the functions
available on it; i.e. '1' was the basic model; '4' has a sub flash etc.
With the SL66E and one of these flashguns with adapter, you will only
get confirmation of flash ready and flash exposure 'OK' in the
viewfinder. You have to manually set the shutter speed and aperture on
the camera.
The Rollei Flashmeter FM1 could be used with the SL66E to give a flash
meter reading off the film plane when using studio flash etc (see Rollei
brochures for further details).

I would like to know what kind of flash I can buy so I can use it with
the SL66E. I heard the maximum sync time is 1/30
I found some old Metz flashes in a shop.
