I'm not expert but I'm a 2.8C user. If the camera is
adjusted according factory spec the settings are
accurate and relative between the marked positions,
the camera is very, very accurate doing it and you can
work using f.e. 1/2 or 1/4 f stop and you can see the
difference in the photograph.
The only problem I had with the 2.8C about the topic
was a worn gear in the shutter speeds wheel, the wheel
slipped to pass from 1/25 to 1/50 to 1/100, but this
problem was fixed during the last CLA changing the
worn gear; anyway even with the wheel slipping the
shutter speeds scale was relative to the real shutter
speeds because the scale did not move while the wheel
was slipping.
