John, I used the SL66 with 50 Distagon during a trip across the South
about ten years ago. The 50 did not disappoint - in fact, I used it almost
exclusively. From Fort Worth to New Orleans to Vicksburg to
Charleston...that 50 really delivers. I found the left-hand grip
attachment an imperative to proper, speedy focusing. Peter

I am a little concerned about the weight, but the close focus ability and
clarity of slide film on a good size screen are my reasons for considering
it.
