RE STRAPS
I have had the same problem. A shoe-repairman nearby has had a supply of
real leather straps, but he's closing. OD on Wal-Mart shoes, I think.
So, I went to a Powwow and bought some hides from a trader. They work
fine; I just have to trim them.
