Carlos, Great photos. I have never really got on with autofocus for action coming towards the camera - especially with short distances. Although I will probably be shouted down, I think you would be better, as you have done, with a "perfectly timed" manual preset. Autofocus takes a slight time to adjust and you can miss the 'perfect point' because of the delay. Manual timing is purely down to the skill and judgement of the photographer; it also makes taking the photo more exciting. Is that a wide scratch on the left hand side of your pond photo?
