Me, too, and sometimes it also helps to know the details in order to use them. I'm kind of a geek, that way. :-)

I like knowing how things work, especially complicated mechanicals like my Leica and Rolleiflex gear.

And, every time I think I know something, I learn that I have more to learn, and that's half the fun in this crazy hobby, anyway.

(I shoulda taken up rubber band collecting!)
