The article's author and replica's owner sent me some photographs in 2012.
I also could take photographs about a similar replica during a travel to
Buenos Aires city in 2015, it belongs to Antique Cameras, a second hand and
old photography items shop where I bought some Rollei accesories. It looks
like the replicas had more success than the true camera, F& H had not the
success they expected for the Baby Rolleiflex, the smaller focusing screen
was one of the causes for the failure. The giant replicas are not true
cameras, BTW, this is the replica at Antique Cameras, Buenos Aires city:

F&H built some 7x9cm and 9x9cm TLR prototypes from 1930 to 1932;14 units
9x9 cm (8.5x8.5.cm real format) were hand made, the 9x9 prototype was like
an enlarged 4x4 camera, it used 122 film format to take six pictures. Both
prototypes had the Tessar 3.8/10cm taking lens.

According to this article, there were originally 10 of these, and the
whereabouts of several are still known.
But wasn't there also an oversized Rollei made around the same time period
that was built to take size 116 roll film?
